Aftercare

Aftercare is an essential part of getting the most out of your treatments.

Nail Aftercare

Moisturise daily

  • Apply cuticle oil at least once a day (twice is ideal) and follow with a hand lotion to prevent dryness and lifting.

Avoid harsh chemicals

  • Wear gloves when cleaning, doing dishes, gardening, or using chemicals, products like bleach, alcohol sanitisers, and strong detergents can weaken nails or dull shine.

Be gentle with your nails (Jewels, not Tools!)

  • Avoid using your nails as tools, don't be tempted to open cans or pick off labels.

Be careful with heat & water

  • Avoid hot tubs, saunas, or long hot showers for the first 24 hours — heat can affect curing and adhesion.

Don’t pick or peel

  • If a nail lifts, chips, or breaks, do not pull it off, picking can cause major damage to the natural nail — instead, book a nail fix.

Schedule regular maintenance

  • Gel polish: every 2–3 weeks, builder gel: every 3-4 weeks, this prevents lifting, breaks and overgrown nails.

Foot Aftercare

Keep feet clean & dry

  • After bathing, ensure feet are thoroughly dried — especially between toes.

Moisturise daily

  • Apply a rich foot cream or heel balm morning and/or evening, don't forget you can use cuticle oil on your toes!

Avoid harsh scrubs or tools

  • Over-exfoliating can cause irritation or make callus build-up return faster.

Wear supportive, proper fitting footwear

  • Choose shoes that fit comfortably and avoid excessive friction.

Monitor any problem areas

  • If you have fissures, corns, or dryness, check them regularly.

Book Regular Maintenance

  • For best long-term results, schedule ePedi appointments every 4–6 weeks.

Face Aftercare

Keep your skin product-free for 12 hours

  • Your skin will be absorbing the nourishing products applied during the treatment.

  • Avoid applying makeup, SPF, or additional skincare until the next morning.

Avoid heat & stimulation for the next 24 hours

  • Hot showers or baths

  • Saunas or steam rooms

  • Intense exercise

  • Direct sun exposure

Stay hydrated

  • Drink plenty of water or herbal teas, hhydration supports detoxification and helps the skin stay plump and glowing.

Be gentle with your skin

  • Avoid exfoliating, using retinol, AHA/BHA acids, or any strong active ingredients for 48 hours.

Allow time for natural detoxification

Holistic facials encourage lymphatic flow, this will settle. It’s normal to experience:

  • Slight flushing

  • Temporary sensitivity

  • A mild detox response

Prioritise rest & relaxation

Your nervous system has been deeply calmed. Support this by:

  • Avoiding stress where possible

  • Taking some quiet time

  • Getting a good night’s sleep

Avoid touching your face

  • Try not to touch or pick at the skin afterward.

  • Keeping hands away prevents irritation and supports healing.

Book regular treatments

  • For long-term skin health, relaxation, and visible results, holistic facials are best enjoyed every 4–6 weeks.
